Bypass hoods produce a lower face velocity than models using separate duct and blower systems， making them ideal for use with fragile equipment or specimens. Bypass hoods draw in room air through the open sash. When the sash is closed， air is drawn through the bypass openings above and below the sash. Bypass hoods are available with a standard blower， an explosion-proof blower， or without a blower. Explosion-proof blowers are UL-listed for Class I， Group D and Class II， Groups E， F， and G.

Interior is constructed of one-piece molded fiberglass. Exterior is constructed of epoxy-coated steel and is glacier white in color.

Customize your hood with optional service fixtures that accommodate air， gas， vacuum， and water lines. Models with fluorescent lights are shipped fully assembled; explosion-proof models come assembled， but lights must be wired in accordance with local codes.
